I sketched our middle aged cook dressed in a deep purple dress, a matching cook’s hat, orange apron and green pumps with a no-nonsense expression on her face. The splotched apron and prep table behind her show that perhaps this is not the best time to ask for special favours at meal time. And perhaps if we have this mouse pad on the table others in your household may cut you some slack if you are cooking a dinner not quite to their liking.
