By resolution of the Second Continental Congress on November 10, 1775 – celebrated as the date of the U.S. Marine Corps birthday - at Tun Tavern, Philadelphia, Captain Samuel Nichols formed the first two battalions of Continental Marines. The U.S. Marine Corps have since served with honour and distinction in every American armed conflict. This glorious recruitment poster, dated 1913, reflects a history that, by the numbers, predates the American Declaration of Independence. Unaltered and restored, this beautiful poster – with the original template 'enlist at' intact - will make a wonderful gift for any Marine or student of military history. While this is now being presented in the 'small' size, please, feel free to customise to the allowable size, your choice of matte, paper and framing to suit your personal space or tastes. I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
