Title：新大橋（shin ōhashi / しんおおはし / Shin Ohashi Bridge）from the Selection of Scenic Views of Japan. Shin Ohashi is a bridge over the Sumida River in Tokyo. It depicts the steel bridge of the Pintorus Bridge floating in the night rain. Artist :川瀬巴水 (Kawase Hasui / かわせ はすい) Kawase Hasui (May 18, 1883 - November 7, 1957) was a woodblock print artist active during the Taisho and Showa periods. He established the world of new prints in an attempt to revive the declining Japanese ukiyoe prints. His works were highly acclaimed overseas, and he has been called the "Hiroshige of the Showa period.
