This is a Ukiyo-e picture of Utagawa Toyokuni III featuring a Japanese magician. ＊若菜姫（Wakana hime / わかなひめ) ＊姫 is a title of respect for a daughter of a person of noble status. She was Wakana-hime, a daughter of 大友家 ( the Otomo family) who was destroyed by 菊地家 (the Kikuchi family). She uses spider sorcery. ＊Note : Data from the Digital Collection of the National Diet Library was used.

This is a beautiful puzzle with just the right amount of difficult. I’m a puzzler and I really enjoyed doing this one. There were two pitfalls. One, is that the pieces fit together a little too loosely for my liking. Two, I got a puzzle where the edges of all the pieces were lifting at the edges, like it wasn’t cut with a sharp blade. I called Zazzle and they sent me out a new one immediately! Zazzle was awesome to work with! The picture was amazing!!
