This is a NASA space photograph showing the Andromeda galaxy, also known as M31. It is a spiral galaxy, located in the Andromeda constellation. This pretty indigo purple photo is a composite image, created from 330 individual images taken by Swift's Ultraviolet/Optical Telescope.
