UNESCO - Roman bridge / Puente romano de Córdoba Postcard

UNESCO WHS Serie - World Heritage Sites in Spain Historic Centre of Cordoba / Centro histórico de Córdoba Córdoba's period of greatest glory began in the 8th century after the Moorish conquest, when some 300 mosques and innumerable palaces and public buildings were built to rival the splendours of Constantinople, Damascus and Baghdad. In the 13th century, under Ferdinand III, Córdoba's Great Mosque was turned into a cathedral and new defensive structures, particularly the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos and the Torre Fortaleza de la Calahorra, were erected. The Roman bridge of Cordoba is originally built in the early 1st century BC across the Guadalquivir river. Most of the present structure dates from the Arabs reconstruction in the 8th century. After the Islamic reconstruction its shape had 16 arcades and a total length of 247 metres. Bought 10 Shakespeare quotes postcards and have framed them individually and placed them around the house Love them, some are funny and some are deep and meaningful! Lovely background on some, excellent printed words. A couple of plain white cards with black print - very stricking

My order was probably an awkward one! I asked for a range of different fine-art prints, in postcard size. It was all freshly printed, delivered quickly and at a very reasonable price. Best quality matt finish I've seen on a fine-art print.

The Zazzle cards are always beautifully done and these were no exception. I love these cards because, after over 70 years of collecting, I can fill in the gaps. I especially like the ones of UNESCO heritage sites, some of which are fairly obscure, and which have both photos and texts on them.
