The Alhambra and Generalife contain all the known artistic techniques of the Hispano-Muslim world between the 13th and 15th centuries. The Albayzín district is the best-preserved illustration of a Hispano-Muslim city in the South of Spain, particularly formed during the Nasrid dynasty. Albayzín is a district of Granada and is noteable for its historic monuments and for largely retaining its mediaeval street plan dating back to the Nasrid period (13th to 15th centuries), although it nonetheless went through many physical and demographic changes after the end of the Reconquista in 1492.
