The serial site, situated in the state of Rajastahan, includes six majestic forts. The ecclectic architecture of the forts bears testimony to the power of the Rajput princely states that flourished in the region from the 8th to the 18th centuries.
The Chittor Fort or Chittorgarh is the largest fort in India. The fort was the capital of Mewar and is located in the town of Chittor. It sprawls over a hill 180 m (590.6 ft) in height and spread over an area of 280 ha (691.9 acres) above the plains of the valley drained by the Berach River. Beginning in the 7th century, the fort was controlled by the Mewar Kingdom.

The Zazzle cards are always beautifully done and these were no exception. I love these cards because, after over 70 years of collecting, I can fill in the gaps. I especially like the ones of UNESCO heritage sites, some of which are fairly obscure, and which have both photos and texts on them.
