Launched in Virginia in 1854, it is the largest and the last all-sail warship built by the Navy. It was used during the Civil War and World War ll. It was decommissioned in 1955, underwent restoration completion in 1999, and is a now a historic museum ship, permanently docked in Baltimore Maryland in the Inner Harbour and is open to the public as part of their Historic ships.
