Vernazza Italy Postcard

Vernazza, a jewel of the Cinque Terre, is a picturesque fishing village nestled dramatically along the rugged Ligurian coast. Its most defining characteristic is the absence of car traffic, preserving an authentic and tranquil atmosphere that transports visitors back in time. The village wraps around a small, circular harbour where colourful fishing boats, known as 'gozzi,' bob gently in the emerald-green waters. Above the harbour, a tight cluster of pastel-coloured houses rises steeply up the cliffs, creating a vibrant and enchanting mosaic that epitomises the Cinque Terre’s charm.
