Verneuil Water lily 1896 CC1200 Floral birthday Card
Birthday greeting card for Lillian and Lily - and everyone else that may enjoy this beautiful depiction of the European white water lily.
The greeting card is inspired by a colour illustration by French Art Nouveau artist Maurice Pillard Verneuil, found in a book about ornamental practises (Plate 7, La plante et ses applications ornementales, 1896).
This is the botanical drawing (not the ornamental application), but the style is light and delicate, almost ethereal.

The artwork and paper quality are good BUT it is only a card and not a bi-fold blank card as I had expected. It was my mistake as I hadn't noticed when ordering. However I think that a single page card would be be very limiting to send to a 90 year old. The quality was excellent.
