Vibrant Royal Blue Cherry Blossoms Antique Repro Tile

This tile is reproduced from an antique 19th century tile. It features branches with cherry blossoms against a rich royal cobalt blue. In your choice of 4.5 inch or 6 inch tiles as well as other items. Asian inspired Longwy tiles were laboriously covered with layers of molten enamel to create the saturated colors that are then glazed and carved to create the look of cloisonne. Longwy ceramics have been made in Longwy, France since 1798. Nice enough to frame and hang on a wall, use as a wall tile, trivet, coaster, or place it on a small easel as an objet d'art. Also makes great fireplace surrounds, backsplashes and wall tiles for kitchen, laundry, bath or shower. Note that, although this tile looks as dimensional as the original, this reproduction is actually flat, printed in a faux relief or trompe l'oeil ("fool the eye") style that captures the look of the carved detailing of the original on a smooth surfaced ceramic tile.
