Vincent Van Gogh Blossoming Almond Tree Vintage Floral Art
Blossoming Almond Tree is an 1890 painting by Dutch post-impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh. Almond Blossoms is a group of several paintings made in 1888 and 1890 by Vincent van Gogh in Arles and Saint-Rémy, southern France of blossoming almond trees. Flowering trees were special to Van Gogh. They represented awakening and hope. He enjoyed them aesthetically and found joy in painting flowering trees. The artwork reflects Impressionist, Divisionist and Japanese woodcut influences. Almond Blossoms was made to celebrate the birth of his nephew and namesake, son of his brother Theo and sister-in-law Jo.

It looks really great and feels to be good quality. It will be excellent for family gifts and crafting. Overall, I am extremely pleased.
By the way, it is a Family tartan, not a Clan tartan. The design was quite accurate and the colours match our kilts, but I was a little disappointed about the position chosen for the tartan. The Kilgour tartan has two very distinctive narrow yellow stripes running at right angles to each other, and one was hidden in the selvedge area so virtually invisible. (See photo.) Maybe it is better in the wider ribbons.
