Daubigny's Garden (1890) by Vincent van Gogh is a vintage Post Impressionism fine art floral gardening nature painting. A garden scene in spring with flowers blooming. The garden belonged to the late Charles-François Daubigny, a painter whom Van Gogh admired throughout his life. Daubigny's widow still lived in the house when van Gogh painted Daubigny's Garden in delicate tones of pink, green, and violet. Vincent van Gogh's great fidelity to natural tones pays tribute to Daubigny's own adherence to nature. About the artist: Vincent Willem van Gogh (1853-1890) was a Post Impressionist painter whose work was most notable for its rough beauty, emotional honesty, and bold color.
