Vintage artwork by Carl Reichert titled "Dignity and Grace" features two dogs. One (Dignity) is gazing off into the distance while the other (Grace) looks up into the face of the first with a look of love and trust. The Austrian artist, Carl Reichert (1836-1918) was the son of Austrian portrait and animal painter, Heinrich Reichert. Carl, born in Vienna, followed in his father’s footsteps as a painter of animals and town scenes, but he was most famous for his paintings of animals, especially dogs and cats.
