Vintage Birch Trees Peacock Art Postcard

The original artwork for this design, “The Peacock”, is part of a series of conceptual portraits in which pattern and colour are used to convey the subject’s personality, thoughts and emotions. It won Best 2D at the Midland Artists Guild’s 2015 Annual Juried Exhibition. This piece has a vintage feel with the hat and veil and peacock print dress. The dark stylised trees and floral pattern covering her hair merge seamlessly into the peacocks on her hat, and allow her mysterious and stoic face to become the focus.
