Saint Nick keeps up on each and every child throughout the year, and by the time Christmas arrives, he knows which children will get gifts, and which will be left coal. At least, that's the way they did it in the old days! The vintage Santa card is from the early 1900s, based on a beautiful illustration on a postcard. The postage was from 1920. It says "A Merry Christmas" in a banner across the top, in front of a little Christmas village. The old-fashioned girl is in a vintage Christmas coat and hat, with vintage clothing, shoes, and a long scarf to stay warm.
