This is a beautiful vintage Chinese advertisement from the early 20th century! These paintings and photographs were primarily produced in Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s, blending Eastern and Western design and often showcase the tension between modern (sometimes racy) women and traditional Shanghai beauty. This soft and beautiful cigarette advertisement features a fresh beauty in a frothy pink gown surrounded by spring colours and cherry blossoms.
