Vintage artwork by Carl Reichert features three pet dogs, a Terrier, a Poodle and a Dachshund, all gazing in wonder and curiosity at a Christmas tree on a table top. The Austrian artist, Carl Reichert (1836-1918) was the son of Austrian portrait and animal painter, Heinrich Reichert. Carl, born in Vienna, followed in his father’s footsteps as a painter of animals and town scenes, but he was most famous for his paintings of animals, especially dogs and cats.
