Vintage Heart of Holly Friendship Saying Holiday Card

Planning to paint a new Holiday Gift Card as the Christmas Holiday was approaching my mind went to friendships. In my life I have enjoyed friendships that began in school and have lasted now into retirement. These friendships have truly been lasting gifts. The coloured drawing that resulted was done on textured art paper which gives this design a tan, vintage look as if age has mellowed my art over the years. Unlike the modern digital designs my art can express a calmer, more relaxed message. The heart I drew by using holly and fir elements to enclose the saying: “our friendship—a lasting gift”.
