Incorporated in the design on this product is a beautiful print of "Irish Cottage", a watercolor painting created either in the late 19th century or early 20th century by Helen Allingham. Allingham (1848 - 1926) was an English watercolor painter and illustrator who became the first woman to be admitted as a full member of the Royal Watercolour Society. Allingham completed several landscapes as well as portraits and was a lifetime friend of Kate Greenaway, the renowned children’s book illustrator and author.
