Vintage Japanese Cat Watching Spider Art Mug

This beautiful mug for cat owners features a vintage Japanese painting of a handsome brown and white cat with sage green eyes hunting an unsuspecting spider inside a house. The painting shows him staring intently from behind a decorated screen door as he is about to pounce! The pampered house feline wears a stylish red, blue and green butterfly patterned scarf round his neck. The original painting is by artist Oide Makoto (Toko), 1841-1905. I've reproduced the cat on both sides. The mug would make a great housewarming, new home or new pet gift for lovers of vintage Japanese cat art. You can change the rich red background to a colour of your choice.
