In the 1860s, the London Zoological Gardens introduced the world to Jumbo, a towering African elephant born in Sudan. Standing over 11 feet tall and weighing an incredible 13,000 pounds, Jumbo became a beloved sensation. In 1882, he “ran away” to join P.T. Barnum’s famous circus, where he dazzled crowds as the star of the show. His untimely passing was mourned around the globe, but his legacy lives on as the most famous elephant of the 19th century. This customisable design features a charming vintage die-cut illustration of Jumbo in his circus finery, complete with his name on the saddle and his handler by his side.
