Postcard with a vintage photo lithograph of Kilkenny Castle in County Kilkenny, Ireland from 1895 pictures a mediaeval castle covered with ivy with a sunset in the background and a river in the foreground. Digitally cleaned, enhanced and artistically rendered to resemble pen and ink with watercolors. Kilkenny Castle was built in 1195 by William Marshal, 1st Earl of Pembroke to control a fording point on the River Nore.
