Vintage Lady Adjusting Her Stockings,

A vintage illustration by Sergio Bompard of a fashionable young lady of the 1920s era about to go out for the day. Before she leaves home, she perches one foot up on a stool and adjusts the stocking on one leg. The Italian artist, Sergio Bompard, is a mystery as far as his life. Little is known about him and little is published online about him except that he was a prolific artist who specialised in illustrations for magazines and postcards during the World War I era. His subject matter was primarily beautiful women of the time, however, he also painted romantic couples, art deco style illustrations of women in the latest fashions (often with greyhound dogs), as well as children. This card is blank inside for your own message.
