Vintage Map of Germany Jigsaw Puzzle

This puzzle features a vintage topographical map of ancient Germany. The text is in Latin, with illustrations of ancient Germanic tribesman dressed in animal skins in one corner and cherubs decorating the legend in another. Titled "Germaniae Veteris Nova Descriptio," the original map, produced in 1657 by the Dutch cartographer Jan Jansson (1588-1664), was based on accounts of the region by ancient Greek and Roman authors.

This is a beautiful puzzle with just the right amount of difficult. I’m a puzzler and I really enjoyed doing this one. There were two pitfalls. One, is that the pieces fit together a little too loosely for my liking. Two, I got a puzzle where the edges of all the pieces were lifting at the edges, like it wasn’t cut with a sharp blade. I called Zazzle and they sent me out a new one immediately! Zazzle was awesome to work with! The picture was amazing!!
