Vintage Mother & Daughter Mother's Day Card
This tender Art Nouveau illustration dates from 1896, when it appeared on the cover of the arts and literature magazine "Jugend" (Youth). The artist was Joseph Rudolf Witzel (b. 1867). The little girl holding a potted plant looks up at her mother, connecting by the gaze—and by red hair! Inside the card reads "I've always looked up to you - Happy Mother's Day" • All profits from sales in this shop benefit The Vintage Fashion Guild. The back of this card contains some information about the VFG: The Vintage Fashion Guild is an international organisation dedicated to the promotion and preservation of vintage fashion.
