Hoot Owl From Grimm's Fairy Tales
The owl is a creature of the night, comfortable in the dark woods. This owl illustration shows an owl in the branches, underneath a castle keep. It's getting dark, and the owl lets out his first "hoot" of the night. A beautiful illustration, very dark, but very striking. A real beauty!
About the Vintage Owl Image
The antique image of a hoot owl in our gift was by influential illustrator Arthur Rackham, who developed the owl image for a 1909 edition of Grimm’s Fairy Tales.
