Vintage illustration fairy tale story book pirates image titled The Flying Dutchman by Howard Pyle. Originally published in Colliers Weekly, December 8, 1900. The Flying Dutchman features a pirate captain on deck of his pirate ship during a fierce storm with his cape and ragged belt blowing in the stormy wind. Waves are crashing on the boat with other pirate scoundrels that look like the walking dead, zombies, are dressed in rags and wandering around aimlessly.
