Vintage St. Catherine of Alexandria Mediaeval Art Poster

This adult colouring poster evolved from an incredible drawing by German Renaissance master Albrecht Dürer, "The Martyrdom of St. Catherine of Alexandria." It shows the spiked wheels which were supposed to torture her (instead, God supernaturally destroyed them). St. Catherine is one of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, a group of saints venerated in mediaeval Germany during the Black Plague because these saints are good to us in troubled times. St. Catherine protects us against sudden death and diseases of the tongue. She is the patron of philosophers, lawyers, orators, students, and people who work with wheels. This artistic masterpiece can certainly stand on its own -- however, it can also be coloured. The shadows are already there -- all you need to do is add the colour in between.
