Vintage Sunflower Flower by Basilius Besler Bath Mat
Vintage illustration botanical nature design featuring a large sunflower bloom from 'Hortus Eystettensis' by Basilius Besler, 1613. Besler was a respected Nuremberg apothecary and botanist, best known for his "Hortus Eystettensis," translated means "The Garden at Eichstätt." He was the curator of the botany garden of Johann Konrad von Gemmingen, prince bishop of Eichstätt in Bavaria. Flos solis maior (Large Sunflower).
