Vintage Vinegar Valentine - Wolf, Holiday Card

In the late 1880s to 1940s, Vinegar Valentines were a popular way to send a message to someone you didn't like or someone you wanted to prank. They had rude but funny messages about a type of person that was written as an insult. This card depicts a man whose head is awhirl with lust as he stares wide-eyed at a beautiful woman in a swimming suit. The verse on the card is: "Wolf - Some wolf! All day you gape at gals. Wide, wide and staring eyes. But if a gal looked back at you, you'd drop dead from surprise!" The inside of the card is blank for your own message.

Absolutely loved this card which was for husband on valentines day from our little yorkie. The yorkie on the card looked just like ours and because I could change the words to what I wanted was Absolutely Brilliant. Everything was exactly as I wanted the little yorkie was brilliant just like ours.
