    The Otoroshi is a Japanese yokai spirit who lurks atop torii gates and pounces down on troublemakers. Put him on top of your refrigerator to keep your friends and family out! This is a reproduction of a picture scroll drawn by Sawaki Suushi in 1737, in the Edo Period of Japanese history. The scroll collection is called the Hyakkai-Zukan, or The Illustrated Volume of a Hundred Spirits.
