From Urania's Mirror, or a View of the Heavens, 1823. Aries is the first astrological sign in the Zodiac, named for the constellation of Aries. Aries is called "The Ram" in the Greek tradition, after the golden ram that rescued Phrixos, taking him to the land of Colchis.
