Virgin of the Seven Sorrows (late 16th Century, Low Countries) by Master of the Female Half-Lengths
This devotion recalls the Sorrows the Virgin Mother of God endured.
Virgin Mary is portrayed sorrowful and in tears, with one or seven swords piercing her heart, iconography based on the prophecy of Simeon in Luke 2:34–35. After reflecting on the Seven Sorrows (1) the Prophecy of Simeon and Anna (2) the Flight into Egypt (3) the Loss of the Child Jesus (4) the Condemnation of Jesus (5) the Crucifixion (6) the Retrieval of Jesus' Body from the Cross (7) and the Burial of Jesus)
Master of the Female Half-Lengths is the notname given to a painter, or more likely a group of painters of a workshop, active in the Low Countries in the early sixteenth century.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
