The woman is leaning languorously with her arms outstretched across the back of a chair. There is an elegant screen behind her, which is decorated with Japanese artwork. The lady is smiling happily at the viewer. She has brown hair, brown eyes and beautiful red lips. She is wearing a black dress with a white lace trim. There is also a scarf wrapped around the chair that the woman is leaning on, and this scarf appears to have an Asian-inspired pattern on it. The original artwork was painted by Albert Edelfelt in 1883.
