Wadokei Japanese Watch Gold

This watch's face has been designed like the Edo Japanese clocks called Wadokei. Although these clocks didn't work the same way as their Western counterpart (the hours varied during the year according to the seasons) it has been adapted for a normal reading. The outer kanji (or Japanese characters) are the twelve Japaneze Zodiac symbols and the inner ones are the kanji numerals from four to nine. During the Edo Jidai, the combination of them showed the current hour.

The watch is very nice, the picture is great and the watch looks like quality. The only problem I am having with it is that it is a little too large, and I also can't figure out how to open the clasp. No directions came with it. Very good. The printing is perfect and the watch keeps good time.
