They took the mail from St Joseph, Missouri to Sacramento, California in 10 days through dessert, plains, mountains, and prairies. The ad says they're looking for a young, skinny, wiry fellow, not yet 18, excellent rider. Must be willing to risk his life daily. Orphans preferred. Wages? $25 per week.
