War Is Over (worn look) T-Shirt

This version of our War Is Over if you want it design has been given an aged, worn look for that authentic washed effect. You couold even try to pretend that you've had yours since 1969. You never know, people might believe you! This is an iconic Sixties slogan which was delivered in advertisements, bill hoardings and throughout the media by an ex-Beatle and his artist wife to herald the coming of the new decade in late 1969. Lennon and Yoko later recorded a Christmas single using the same slogan. The meaning behind "War is over if you want it" is that the only thing needed for all wars to end is for everyone to stop participating in them. Whilst in practice this is a massively over-simplistic plan, it does stress the idea that the only things causing some of the world's worst human suffering are humans ourselves. A great peacenik or hippy design, as well as a great 1960's or baby boomer gift.
