Wat Rong Suea Ten Holiday Postcard

Wat Rong Suea Ten, popularly known as the Blue Temple, is a visually stunning Buddhist temple in Chiang Rai distinguished by its vivid sapphire-blue exterior and elaborate gold ornamentation. Designed in a contemporary take on traditional Thai temple architecture by local artist Phuttha Kabkaew who studied under the creator of the nearby White Temple, it was completed in 2016 and quickly became one of the province’s most remarkable modern religious sites. The temple’s name translates to “Temple of the Dancing Tiger,” a nod to the tigers that once roamed the nearby Mae Kok River area.
