this waterlily painting is by Julia Morrill who in a half century as an artist had never tried them before. She had seen Monet's waterlilies in a travelling exhibit of impressionist paintings as a young woman and figured he'd captured them best so why try. Getting older she finds there's nothing to be afraid of so why not "go for it"
