Based on the Robert Herrick poem, Gather Ye Rosebuds is one of English painter John Waterhouse’s finest literary works. The painting features a beautiful girl in a green dress with gold lace and floral embroidery. The young woman holds a pewter bowl of freshly cut pink, red, and white roses in her hands.
