John William Waterhouse Hylas and the Nymphs tile. Oil painting on canvas from 1896. Pre-Raphaelite painter John Waterhouse regularly drew inspiration from Greek mythology. Hylas and the Nymphs is one of the artist’s most famous paintings. The work features the protagonist Hylas wearing a blue robe with red sash as he bends down to take the hand of a nymph rising from a pond full of lily pads. Her sister nymphs surround her gazing lovingly up at the hero. A great gift for fans of J.W. Waterhouse, Greek Mythology, the Pre-Raphaelites, and English Romantic art.

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
