Watson and the Shark Poster
This is a reproduction of "Watson and the Shark" of 1778 by John Singleton Copley. The artist was forty years old when this was produced having been born probably in Boston, Massachusetts, of Irish parents. His earliest work was a portrait executed in 1752. By the age of seventeen he was fully engaged in portraiture. In 1774 he left America due to increasing threats due to his Loyalist family connections. After American Independence, Copley maintained good relations with friends in Massachusetts. During the Napoleonic Wars his finances declined and the artist died in England in 1815. This work is 229.7 cm wide and 182.1 cm high and is in the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D. C.

I love this painting. However the SHARK is dim and ILL DEFINED.
Disappointing. Framed it at Jerry's Artarama. Satisfactory. Slightly out of focus. Shark is dim and almost unrecognizable. Should be clear and sharp, like its teeth. Printing seems dull and blurred. Colors are acceptable. The shark is the villain in this adventure. Too bad he is not emphasized in the print.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
