Waverly Hills Inn & Resort Poster
The Waverly Hills Sanatorium, or Sanitorium, located in southwestern Louisville-Jefferson County, Kentucky, opened in 1910 as a two-story hospital to accommodate 40 to 50 tuberculosis patients. In the early 1900s, Jefferson County, Kentucky was ravaged by an outbreak of the "White Plague" (Tuberculosis). The plague prompted the construction of a new hospital with 130 beds. But not to worry, with more than 6,000 patients that died during the time that the Sanatorium was open a room was nearly always available. The infamous "body chute" was used for transporting bodies to the graveyard making room for others. But book your room now, and enjoy your stay. I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
