We Are All Broken, That's How HIS Light Gets In Holiday Card

Decoupage paper with Jesus the Lamb of God who is the light of the world and gives life and guidance to those who follow him. The lamb is a symbol of innocence and purity, as well as a sacrificial offering in the Old Testament. Jesus is the perfect Lamb who offered himself for us on the cross, to redeem us from our brokenness and make us whole again (1 Peter 1:18-19). The forest is a symbol of the world, which is full of darkness and danger. Jesus is the light that shines in the darkness and overcomes it (John 1:5). He leads us on the right path and protects us from evil (Psalm 23:1-4). Although this is a quote from Hemmingway, I changed it to HIS light instead of the light. The quote from Hemingway is a paradox, that our brokenness is not a hindrance but a channel for God’s light. It implies that God can use our trials and struggles to refine us and reveal his glory in us (2 Corinthians 4:7-10). It also suggests that we need to acknowledge our need for God and surrender to his grace, rather than relying on our own strength or merit.
