Pipeline Playwrights is offering select promotional items in conjunction with our production of Wednesdays In Mississippi. This new play is written by Nicole Burton, adapted from the award-winning non-fiction book by Debbie Z. Harwell. Directed by Rikki Howie Lacewell, the play tells the story of Dorothy Height and Polly Cowan, who launched a civil rights project in Mississippi in 1964 amidst killings, threats, and bombings. The women forged alliances, helped integrate the schools, and aided the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party.
