This design features artwork by the French Impressionist painter Claude Monet (1840–1926). It depicts a weeping willow tree. Monet uses broad, sweeping brushstrokes and vivid, layered colour to evoke the tree's emotional presence. The composition is dominated by cascading, vertical and swirling strokes of green, yellow, white, orange and red, which suggest the drooping branches of the willow. Interwoven within these are flashes of purple, blue, and deep reds, giving the impression of filtered light and shifting shadows. The palette is both vibrant and sombre, reflecting Monet’s late style, in which his brushwork became looser and his forms more abstract, verging on the expressive freedom of modern painting. The overall effect is immersive and emotional: rather than a straightforward landscape, the painting conveys the atmosphere of standing beneath the tree, enveloped by its flowing canopy, with a sense of both tranquillity and awe. The original art was painted by Claude Monet in 1922.
