'Wheel Inn' Card

This was the first of Christine's pub paintings. We were on our way to Truro from St. Austell. While driving through Tresillian I noticed that the Wheel Inn had been recently re-thatched. I said to Chris, "I bet you could do a great painting of that!" She replied, "On our way back I'll take a few pics and see what I can do." I smiled, knowing she would do a first-class job. She did. We sold the original watercolour, and also put the image on cards, fridge magnets, key-rings and several prints----all sold well, and Chris got even more work from the Wheel Inn in the form of certain commissions. I said, "Look Love! since our first shot at painting pubs went so well, maybe we ought to try a few more." Christine has painted almost 60 since then-----not all have been as successful from the sales point-of-view, but quite number have. There are many more yet to do.
