The domestic donkey is a hoofed mammal in the same family as horses. High in the Rocky Mountains is a town of Cripple Creek. This used to be a gold mining town where donkeys were used to transport the ore. Now the remaining ancestors of these workers are cared for by volunteers and allowed to freely roam the town streets mid-May thru mid-October. I hope you enjoy this coloured pencil drawing of this sweet face especially if you are a girl that loves donkeys.
